Don’t Hit The Panic Button Just Yet – Kaizer Chiefs HEAD Coach Open Up

Molefi Ntseki’s Kaizer Chiefs suffered their second pre-season loss in as many games.

Last weekend, the Glamour Boys went down against Tanzanian giants Young Africans in his opening match in charge of the Glamour Boys.

Kaizer Chiefs returned to action this weekend when they visited the National Stadium in Gaborone to face Township Rollers.

Unfortunately for Ntseki’s side, they once again were defeated by their opponents 1-0 thanks to a Thabo Rakhale strike in the 79th minute.

Ntseki however has made it clear that his side will work hard on addressing their weaknesses ahead of next season.

KAIZER CHIEFS WILL CORRECT ISSUES – NTSEKI

“So, these are things that we are addressing, these are the things that we will be working on.” Ntseki said as quoted by Citizen.

“When you look at the first half, we created a few chances and we will be looking at the chances we created to see what were the challenges in finishing them.

“We allowed them to play a diagonal ball and unfortunately we could not defend the far side of the cross.

“The first thing is that you don’t give away goals like that. It means we are not properly positioning ourselves and putting pressure on the ball.”

Chippa United coach Morgan Mammila is not losing sleep ahead of his side’s clash against Kaizer Chiefs in next weekend’s DStv Premiership opener.

According to Mammila, Chiefs are ‘very easy to play against’, which makes preparations for the match simple.

Molefi Ntseki will take charge of his maiden official game come next weekend after being promoted to head coach at Naturena.

But Mammila is not expecting Ntseki to bring anything new to Kaizer Chiefs.

Kaizer Chiefs have taken their opening home fixture of the 2023/24 season to KwaZulu-Natal.

Molefi Ntseki’s side face Chippa United on 06 August 2023 in their opening DStv Premiership match.

The match is set to be played at Chiefs’ ‘home away from home’, the Moses Mabhida Stadium!

Kaizer Chiefs will host Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 06 August 2023 according to IOL.

The Glamour Boys will undoubtedly be hoping to hit the ground running under new head coach Molefi Ntseki.

Chiefs finished in fifth place last season under Arthur Zwane.
