Kaizer Chiefs Set Deadline to Find a Permanent Coach – Report

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly set January as their deadline to find a new permanent boss to take over from interim manager Cavin Johnson.

KAIZER CHIEFS WANT A PERMANENT BOSS DURING THE AFCON BREAK

Cavin Johnson, according to reports emanating from Soccer Laduma, will take charge of the side for at least the next two months. That publication believes Chiefs want a permanent boss in place by January when a number of players will be away for AFCON and that will allow the outstanding candidate time to work with the players. In essence, it will serve as a “preseason” of sorts. Johnson will then return to his head of Development role when a suitable candidate is found.

CHIEFS FACE IN-FORM ARROWS NEXT

Arrows have won three consecutive away games in the league, their joint-best run of that kind in history. Their tally of 17 points from the first eight games this season, according to OptaJabu, is their best start to a campaign in 15 years. They got 18 from eight all the way back in 2008-09. This is one of THE form teams in the country. Chiefs will hope that the break throws Abafana Bes’thende off their stride and breaks their rhythm. If it doesn’t, Amakhosi face another tricky test on Saturday, October 28th at 20:00.
